Strawberry Lemon Dessert Recipe



Ingredients


- 2 lemons
- 1 cup flour
- 4 eggs
- 2 cups strawberries
- 1 cup sugar

Instructions


1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. Grate the zest of both lemons and set aside.
3. Squeeze the juice from both lemons and set aside.
4. In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, eggs, 1 tablespoon of lemon zest, and 1/2 cup of sugar. Mix until smooth.
5. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 25 minutes or until lightly golden.
7. In the meantime, slice the strawberries into thin pieces.
8. In another bowl, combine the sliced strawberries, remaining lemon zest, remaining sugar, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice.
9. Mix well and let it sit for 10 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
10. Once the baked base has cooled, spread the strawberry mixture over the top.
11. Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to set.
12. Serve chilled and enjoy!
