World Famous Chef's Award-Winning BBQ Squid Fish Tacos Recipe
Ingredients
- Squid: 1 pound
- Fish: 1 pound (any white fish of your choice)
- Taco shells: 8 shells
- BBQ seasoning: 2 tablespoons
- Onions: 1 medium-sized, finely chopped
- Peppers: 2 medium-sized, thinly sliced
- Fish sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Green beans: 1 cup, trimmed and halved
- Squash: 1 medium-sized, sliced
Instructions
1. Preheat your broiler to high heat.
2. Rinse the squid and fish thoroughly under cold water. Pat them dry using paper towels.
3. Season the squid and fish with BBQ seasoning, ensuring they are evenly coated. Set aside.
4. In a skillet, sauté the chopped onions and sliced peppers over medium heat until they are softened and slightly caramelized. Remove from heat and set aside.
5. In a small bowl, combine the fish sauce with a tablespoon of BBQ seasoning. Set aside.
6. Line a baking sheet with foil and place the seasoned squid and fish on it.
7. Broil the squid and fish for 3-4 minutes on each side or until they are lightly charred and cooked through. Remove from the oven and let them rest for a minute.
8. While the squid and fish are resting, heat a skillet over medium heat and sauté the green beans and squash until they are tender-crisp. Remove from heat.
9. Slice the squid into rings and flake the fish into chunks.
10. Warm the taco shells according to package instructions.
11. Assemble the tacos by placing the sautéed onions and peppers in the bottom, followed by the sliced squid and fish. Drizzle the fish sauce and BBQ seasoning mixture over the fillings.
12. Serve the tacos topped with sautéed green beans and squash.
