Hello !
The Ultimate Stuffed French Toast: Cheesy, Bacon & Ham Delight
Ingredients
- 8 slices of Sourdough bread (Frenched Toast style)
- 8 slices of bacon
- 8 slices of ham
- 8 slices of your favorite cheese (such as cheddar or Swiss)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
2. In a large frying pan, cook the bacon slices over medium heat until crispy. Once done, remove from the pan and set aside on paper towels to drain excess fat.
3. Take 4 slices of the Frenched Toast and top each with a slice of ham and a slice of cheese. Cover each with a second slice of Frenched Toast to create four sandwiches.
4. In the same pan used for the bacon, melt a pat of butter over medium heat.
5. Carefully dip each stuffed sandwich into a bowl of beaten eggs, ensuring both sides are coated.
6. Place the stuffed sandwiches in the pan and cook until golden brown, around 2-3 minutes per side. Flip them carefully to prevent the filling from oozing out.
7. Transfer the pan-fried sandwiches to a baking sheet and place them in the preheated oven. Bake for 10-12 minutes until the cheese has melted and the French toast is fully cooked.
8. Remove the stuffed French toast from the oven and let them cool for a few minutes before serving. Cut each sandwich in half diagonally for a stunning presentation.
