The Ultimate Guava Charcoal Grill Supper - A Flavor Explosion That Will Leave You Craving More!

Ingredients

- 4 ripe guavas
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
- 1 teaspoon sea salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 4 boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1 red onion, sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 jalapeno pepper, sliced
- 1 cup fresh cilantro leaves
- Juice of 2 limes

Instructions

1. Preheat the charcoal grill to medium-high heat.
2. Cut the guavas in half, removing the seeds and flesh from the skin. Set the guava flesh aside.
3. In a small bowl, mix together the olive oil, cumin, smoked paprika, sea salt, and black pepper.
4. Brush the chicken breasts with the spice mixture on both sides, ensuring they are well coated.
5. Place the chicken breasts on the grill and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C). Remove from the grill and let them rest for a few minutes before slicing.
6. While the chicken is grilling, place the guava halves directly on the grill, cut side down. Cook for about 3 minutes, or until they have grill marks and are slightly caramelized. Remove from the grill and set aside.
7. In a large skillet, heat some olive oil over medium heat. Add the red onion, garlic, and jalapeno pepper. Sauté for about 5 minutes, or until the onions are soft and translucent.
8. Add the guava flesh to the skillet and continue cooking for another 2-3 minutes, until the guava has softened and released its juices.
9. Remove the skillet from the heat and stir in the fresh cilantro leaves and lime juice.
10. Slice the grilled chicken breasts and serve them alongside the guava salsa. Enjoy!
