Ingredients

- 4 cups of Bread Flour
Instructions
1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the sourdough starter and water. Stir well.
2. Add the bread flour and salt to the bowl and mix until a shaggy dough forms.
3. Cover the bowl with a clean kitchen towel and let it rest for 30 minutes.
4. After the rest period, fold the dough over itself a few times, rotating the bowl as you go.
5. Cover the bowl again and let it sit for another 4 hours to allow the dough to rise.
6. Preheat your oven to 450°F (230°C) and place a Dutch oven or a heavy, lidded oven-safe pot inside to preheat as well.
7. Carefully remove the hot pot from the oven and sprinkle some flour over the bottom to prevent sticking.
8. Transfer the dough from the bowl into the hot pot, cover with the lid, and return it to the oven.
9. Bake the bread for 30 minutes with the lid on, then remove the lid and bake for an additional 15 minutes to allow the crust to brown.
10. Once the bread is golden brown, carefully remove it from the pot and let it cool on a wire rack before slicing.
