Slow Cooker Honey Garlic Chicken: The Award-Winning Recipe Everyone is Talking About!
Ingredients
- 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons water
- Chopped green onions, for garnish (optional)

Instructions
1. In a slow cooker, place the chicken breasts at the bottom.
2. In a mixing bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, ketchup, minced garlic, dried basil, dried oregano, and red pepper flakes. Mix well.
3. Pour the sauce over the chicken, ensuring the breasts are fully coated.
4. Cover the slow cooker and cook on low heat for 4 hours or high heat for 2 hours.
5. Once the cooking time is complete, remove the chicken breasts from the slow cooker and set them aside.
6. In a small bowl, whisk together cornstarch and water until smooth. Pour this mixture into the sauce left in the slow cooker.
7. Stir well, then cover the slow cooker and cook on high for an additional 15 minutes, or until the sauce thickens.
8. Meanwhile, shred the chicken using two forks.
9. Once the sauce has thickened, return the shredded chicken to the slow cooker, coating it evenly with the sauce.
