Maple Glazed Tuna with Butterscotch



Ingredients:



  • 1 cup butterscotch chips

  • 1/4 cup maple syrup

  • 1 can of tuna, drained

  • Salt, to taste

  • Pepper, to taste



Instructions:




  1. In a small saucepan, melt the butterscotch chips over low heat, stirring constantly until smooth and creamy. This will take approximately 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat.

  2. Add the maple syrup to the melted butterscotch and stir until well combined. Set aside.

  3. Preheat the stove to medium-high heat.

  4. Season the tuna with salt and pepper on both sides.

  5. Place a non-stick skillet on the stove and heat it until hot.

  6. Add the seasoned tuna to the hot skillet and sear for about 2-3 minutes on each side or until it reaches your desired level of doneness. The tuna should have a nice golden brown crust.

  7. Once the tuna is cooked, remove it from the skillet and set it aside, allowing it to rest for a few minutes.

  8. While the tuna is resting, reheat the butterscotch and maple mixture over low heat until it becomes warm and pourable.

  9. Plate the seared tuna and generously drizzle the warm butterscotch glaze over it.
