Ham and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry



Ingredients:



  • 1 cup ham, sliced into thin strips

  • 2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved

  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil

  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground

  • 3 tablespoons vegetable oil

  • Salt to taste



Instructions:



  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.

  2. Add the sliced ham and stir fry for about 2 minutes until it starts to brown slightly. Remove the ham from the skillet and set it aside.

  3. In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.

  4. Add the thinly sliced onion and minced garlic. Stir fry for about 2 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.

  5. Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and continue stir frying for another 3-4 minutes until they start to turn tender.

  6. In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.

  7. Pour the sauce mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet.

  8. Stir well to coat the vegetables evenly. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.

  9. Return the stir-fried ham to the skillet and mix it with the Brussels sprouts.

  10. Taste the stir fry and add salt if needed.

  11. Continue cooking for another minute or so until everything is heated through.

  12. Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the stir fry to a serving dish.

  13. Serve the delicious Ham and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry as a comforting and flavorful dinner.
