Flavorful Yogurt-Marinated Chicken Drumsticks Recipe
Ingredients:
- 8 chicken drumsticks
- 1 cup yogurt
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
- 1 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions:
1. In a bowl, combine yogurt, minced garlic, grated ginger, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, paprika, lemon juice, salt, and black pepper. Mix well.
2. Add the chicken drumsticks to the bowl and coat them evenly with the marinade mixture. Make sure each drumstick is well coated.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to marinate. For the best results, marinate overnight.
4. Preheat the grill to medium-high heat or preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
5. If using a grill, lightly oil the grates to prevent sticking.
6. Remove the drumsticks from the marinade and shake off any excess.
7. Place the drumsticks on the grill and cook for about 6-8 minutes per side, or until they reach an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C) and have a golden-brown color.
8. If using the oven, place the drumsticks on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until cooked through and crispy. Flip halfway through cooking.
9. Once cooked, remove the drumsticks from the grill or oven and let them rest for a few minutes before serving.
10. Serve hot and enjoy!
