Ingredients
- 4 cups of fresh blueberries
- 1 cup of granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon of lemon juice
- 1 cup of all-purpose flour
- 1 cup of rolled oats
- 1/2 cup of unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- 1/2 cup of chopped almonds
Instructions
1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the blueberries, 1/2 cup of sugar, and lemon juice. Toss gently to coat the blueberries evenly.
3. In a separate bowl, mix the flour, oats, remaining 1/2 cup of sugar, and cold butter. Use your fingertips to rub the butter into the dry ingredients until it resembles coarse crumbs.
4. Spread the blueberry mixture evenly in a baking dish and sprinkle the crumb mixture on top.
5. Sprinkle the chopped almonds over the crumb mixture, adding a delightful crunch to the dessert.
6. Place the baking dish in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the blueberries are bubbling and the topping turns golden brown.
