Decadent Dutch Gouda & Beef Stuffed Bell Peppers with Tomato Garlic Sauce
Ingredients
- 1 lb Hamburger Meat
- 4 large Bell Peppers
- 2 large Onions
- 4 cloves Garlic
- 4 large Tomatoes
- 1 cup Gouda Cheese, shredded
- 2 cups Shell Noodles
Instructions
- Begin by sautéing finely chopped onions and minced garlic in a large pan over medium heat until golden brown.
- Add the hamburger meat to the pan and cook thoroughly. Drain and set aside.
- Boil shell noodles until al dente in a pot of salted water, drain, and set aside.
- Prepare your sauce by pureeing tomatoes in a blender or food processor, then add to the pan with a quarter of the sautéed onions and garlic. Simmer the mixture for about 15 minutes.
- Stuff each bell pepper evenly with the mixture of meat, the remainder of the sautéed onions and garlic, cooked shell noodles, and shredded Gouda cheese.
- Place stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish. Pour the prepared sauce over the stuffed peppers and sprinkle with remaining Gouda cheese.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.
