Ham and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry
Ingredients:
- 1 cup ham, sliced into thin strips
- 2 cups Brussels sprouts, halved
- 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon oyster sauce
- 1 teaspoon sesame oil
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper, freshly ground
- 3 tablespoons vegetable oil
- Salt to taste
Instructions:
- Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat.
- Add the sliced ham and stir fry for about 2 minutes until it starts to brown slightly. Remove the ham from the skillet and set it aside.
- In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil.
- Add the thinly sliced onion and minced garlic. Stir fry for about 2 minutes until the onion becomes translucent.
- Add the halved Brussels sprouts to the skillet and continue stir frying for another 3-4 minutes until they start to turn tender.
- In a small bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, oyster sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper.
- Pour the sauce mixture over the Brussels sprouts in the skillet.
- Stir well to coat the vegetables evenly. Continue cooking for an additional 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Return the stir-fried ham to the skillet and mix it with the Brussels sprouts.
- Taste the stir fry and add salt if needed.
- Continue cooking for another minute or so until everything is heated through.
- Remove the skillet from heat and transfer the stir fry to a serving dish.
- Serve the delicious Ham and Brussels Sprouts Stir Fry as a comforting and flavorful dinner.
